Sofia ChiocconiMD, FAAP

After working at Montefiore Medical Center, Dr. Sofia Chiocconi joined Summer Pediatrics in July of 2017.

The second of 6 children, Dr.Chiocconi is a native of Patagonia, Argentina. She earned her medical degree at the University of Buenos Aires and completed her residency in pediatrics at Hospital Pedro de Elizalde “Casa Cuna” in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

After moving to the United States, she trained at the world-renowned Mt. Sinai Medical School and Elmhurst Hospital in Queens, N.Y. She is Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics

“I love treating families and children as a whole. I enjoy watching small kids become healthy thriving adults.”

In addition to being a pediatrician, Dr. Chiocconi is the mother of two boys, Ignacio and Martin. She enjoys spending her free time doing outdoor activities with them, her Husband, and friends.
