Maria JohnstonAPRN FNP-BC
Maria was born and raised in the south of Argentina. She attended the Catholic University of Argentina and she received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Fairfield University. Later on she achieved her Family Nurse Practitioner degree from Sacred Heart University and she is a Board Certified Advanced Practice Nurse. She helped establish a Health Center in the Dominican Republic, and during her free time she enjoys volunteering at Americares, The Fresh Air Fund, and her local church. Maria worked for the Darien Public School System and with a local Pediatrician before beginning her practice at Summer Pediatrics.

She enjoys spending time outdoors working in her vegetable garden, taking care of her chickens, and playing tennis. Above all she loves to be with her family. She has four grown children Bobby, Michael, Anne and Lily from whom her love for childcare has grown.
Maria is passionate for her patients and strives to work with all families to provide individualized holistic patient centered care with a focus in preventive medicine.
