Ester Ramirez-CepedaMD, FAAP
Dr. Ester Ramirez-Cepeda, a board-certified pediatrician with over 20 years of experience, has dedicated her career to providing compassionate and comprehensive care to children of all ages. As a mother of three and a proud resident of Stamford, she is deeply committed to her community. Dr. Ramirez-Cepeda believes that every child deserves access to high-quality healthcare, regardless of race, ethnicity, or socioeconomic status.
Born and raised in the Dominican Republic, Dr. Ramirez-Cepeda completed medical school in June 1997 before moving to the United States, where she finished her pediatric training at Elmhurst Hospital with Mount Sinai Medical School in 2004. In 2008, she founded Summer Pediatrics to serve the diverse community of Stamford and its neighboring towns.
Her commitment to promoting health equity and reducing health disparities is evident in her dedication to serving a diverse community. Dr. Ramirez-Cepeda considers it a privilege to serve families from all walks of life, offering high-quality, patient-centered care and building lasting relationships with her patients and their families.
Dr. Ramirez-Cepeda is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP). She is also a member of the AAP sections on obesity medicine, international medical graduates, and administration and practice management. Trained in mental health evaluation and management in primary care, she collaborated with the Stamford health department to provide media education to the Spanish-speaking population during the pandemic. Her dedication and excellence in medicine have been recognized multiple times by Castle Connolly, naming her as one of Connecticut’s top doctors and an exceptional woman in medicine.
